December 2015 - The party is almost over

December 2015 was the last month Carol (the victim/ retiree)  lived with her daughter Sonya. Either in November or December Carol called Mike, her son on the other side of the country in Washington, DC and asked to be taken out of there. Unfortunately, Mike had no clue what to do and believed his sister Sonya's side of the story. In November Sonya began (or I just started noticing) using her mother's money to by 'medicinal' weed. If that wasn't bad enough she moved in a loser boyfriend into the home Sonya rented (with Carol's money) who as far I we know did not contribute anything to the household. So now Carol was supporting two parasites.

At the end of the month, around Christmas, Carol escaped. For a while I imagined Carol out there with her walker slowly moving away from the suburban area out to the main road and flagging down help. But it seems she may have called 911 and got a ride to a Kaiser hospital. And it was there at the hospital she gave the staff a clue that she was being abused. That's when Santa Clara County Adult Protective Services people got involved. Another thing happened at the end of the month, Sonya closed this bank account and started a new account. There is a December 28th withdrawal of $68,166.79, and that went into a new account under Carol's last name. Why? Tis a mystery.

So below are parts of the December 2015 band statement. If you want to see a clearer picture, click on the images. After each section I will write about a few particular purchases that I've highlighted. In December it becomes clearer that Sonya was just spending her mother's money like she won the lottery. She's spending money on pot, cash withdrawals and trips.
So we get a regular deposit from Carol's teacher's pension on the 1st of $3084. For most of this saga, it's been Carol's money, Carol's pension, Carol's retirement fund that has been fueling the party Sonya has been attending and orchestrating. Of all the purchases on this page, I just highlighted the one thing that was definitely for Carol, the December 2nd charge from the Kaiser Pharmacy.

On the 4th Sonya takes out $300. Why? Who knows. Also that same day there is a charge from Guitar Wars, a musical instrument store in San Jose. Carol does not play an instrument. Carol has Parkinson's. I will guess that it was for one of Sonya's kids Mike1 or N Kim.

Sonya was supposed to be the caretaker of Carol. Instead she abused her mother. Carol had to stop smoking, sometime in the 90s because she had to have some sort of heart surgery... because of smoking. Apparently she and her 1st husband smoked like chimneys. Mike, their son, has this huge hatred for smoking because of it. Their daughter, obviously, not so much. On the 8th, Sonya got something from Discount Cigarettes. I can only hope she did not smoke in the house or around Carol or either of the minor children.

Once again, on the 8th, she buying more from s cigarette shop, this time it's at Up In Smoke.

It looks like somebody has taken up the guitar or some musical instrument. I wonder which kid? Mike1 or N Kim? Well one thing I know, that $542.16 to Guitar Center on the 10th, was not for Carol's care. This is followed with another charge to a music place, The Starving Musician, on the 11th.

December 13th, Sonya buys more cigarettes, I guess.

Seriously, this woman, Sonya, seems to have a smoking problem. How many days have passed since she was last at someplace that sold cigarettes? Or is she buying smokes for her loser boyfriend too?

Okay, I highlighted a lot here. On the 16th there is a purchase from a beauty supply store. I will have to guess that's Sonya buying for work, as she's a hair stylist. Nothing to do with Carol's care. Then that same day there are other purchases from Amazon. I love Amazon. We've bought things for Carol from Amazon, but they were purchased with our own money. That we earned. From working. I have my doubts that the December 17th purchase from iTunes was for Carol.

I find the two purchases from Spy-Fly and Been Verified funny. Who is she looking for or in on? Is Sonya (with Parkinson's and other health issues, Carol is not doing this) trying to find something on her ex/ baby daddy? Maybe Sonya was looking up dirt on her loser boyfriend, to see how much of a loser he was?

On the 17th, a refund from Amazon. Don't know what Sonya is playing at, what's the scam? On that same date a $204.19 charge from T-Mobile for a phone Carol does not use. On the 18th there is a strange charge from Snapraise, some fund raising site. What's the scam?

December 19th we've got several charges. The Amazon charge, I don't remember why I highlighted that. South Bay Healing is for pot, mary jane, weed. On her mamma's dime. This is followed by a purchase from Up In Smoke on the 21st.

Ah the end. But before that, let's look at some end of the month purchases. December 23rd is for a Hotel booking. Sometime in 2016 Sonya runs off to Hawaii, maybe she was booking her hotel. Who knows? What I do know, this hotel was not for Carol. Anyway, that hotel booking is cancelled, so no more harm? I also doubt those withdrawals of $232.40, $500 and $380 were for Carol either.
Please point your attention to the big withdrawal on the 28th of $68166.79. Sonya moved that money to a brand new account. In that account we'll see more of the same crazy spending. But this time there is no pretense, no pretending that she's doing this for Carol, because in 2016 Carol doesn't live with Sonya anymore. We know that she isn't driving around in that vehicle she's leasing taking Carol to doctor's appointments. We know she isn't taking Carol to fast food joints, or buying groceries for Carol, because Carol doesn't live with Sonya anymore. In 2016 whatever is spent from the account, short of the $3300 a month to the old folks' boarding house, where Kaiser dumps Carol, that money is being spent on Sonya for Sonya.

November 2015

So I finally admitted to my husband the existence of this blog. I explained my reasons why I started it, that it was a way to vent.
Anyway, more of Sonya's misspending and destroying her mother's retirement fund.
I'll make a comment for each section to point out how that purchase was not for the owner of the account, retiree Carol. To see more just click on the image.
Nov 2nd, TMS Healthy Solutions. Carol is a member of Kaiser which is big in California. It's pretty much one stop health care, so anything outside of that I do wonder about.

Nov 5th. Why is United Healthcare still getting money? Carol is a Kaiser Perm member. Then there is the Nov 6th charge to Up In Smoke. Did I mention that Carol no longer smoked due to a heart ailment? Yeah, she stopped smoking because it nearly killed her. But her "caretaker" Sonya is using Carol's money to light up.

Nov 9th, another charge from Up In Smoke!

This one has Sonya, and I can't see it being Carol doing this, considering Carol doesn't drive and is in ill health, eating out on her mother's dime. Sonya's also getting high on her mother's dime as well. I looked up the November 11th charge of South Bay Healing Center.... that's a marijuana dispensary. Then there are the other smoke shops...

Nov 12 has Mercury Insurance, to pay for the insurance for a vehicle Carol doesn't drive. Nov 13th, another smoke shop. Once again, Carol, whom this account is supposed to serve, does not smoke and it is irresponsible to be smoking anywhere near Carol.

November 14th more smoke shop spending. Nov 14th Sonya spends $329.86 of her mother's money to pay for a hotel. Also notice in this section Sonya is withdrawing lots of cash, from ATMS that are "Out of Network", so not only is she misspending, she's being very wasteful. Well, when it's not your hard earned money, I guess this is what you do.

Okay at this point I started highlighting the things I wanted to point out. The theme of the above, two Nov 16th purchases from smoke shops. Carol, doesn't smoke. If Sonya smoked around Carol she was putting her mother's life at risk. It was babd enough she was using her mother's money to support her bad habit.

Alright the theme of the above is out of network fees. Once upon a time my city councilman was found guilty of stealing $300K from a fund that was supposed to help children. A local news blog published the bank statement showing him spending money on all sorts of things, including meals at Hooters. The thing that really bugged me when I saw the statement were all the $2-$5 out of network cash withdrawals. Same thing here, Sonya was pissing away her mother's money like there was no tomorrow.

We don't have cable. Nov 21st there is a Comcast bill of $225.56. Maybe a bundled plan? I guess you park the old woman (Carol) in front of the boob tube while you spend down her retirement fund?

Highlights show spending on weed, ciggys and stupid out of network fees.

More smokes on Nov 26. All this spending on cigarettes in one month is super crazy.

Ah finally the end. I highlighted this deposit from CalSters, which seemed unusually small. It was one of two deposits (the other likely $100 from Pershing, Carol's investment account that Sonya gutted) and looks like Sonya didn't even add a token amount like she usually does. The check #2427 for $3850 is for the rent for a 3 bedroom house Sonya rented (using Carol's money). Why 3 bedrooms? Well the extra bedrooms were for the 2 kids she DID NOT have custody of, but we thought she did.

October 2015- more of the same

This is just more of the same. Sonya who became her mother (Carol)'s POA (Power of Attorney) in March 2015 began spending her mother's retirement nest egg almost immediately. By the end of 2015 Santa Clara Adult Protective Services got involved. Like the previous months of August and September, Sonya used her mother's money to finance a vehicle, the insurance for said vehicle, beauty supplies for her business, dining out and all sorts of things that were not for Carol.
These are images of the bank statement from October 2015. Please click on the image to see the details of Sonya's spending.

Once again, the check #2421 is for rent for the 3 bedroom house Sonya rented using Carol's money. Previously, Sonya was renting a 1 bedroom apartment. This is just a small example how she said she was doing X for her mother and tacking on more for herself for her own profit and selfish desires.

September 2015- 7 pages of spending

My husband and I live in DC, which like the San Jose area is expensive. Our joint bank account never really gets to 7 pages. Nor did we, like Sonya, spend $21,000 in a month with our regular spending. It helps that we don't make $21K a month, and we don't spend more than we make.
Anyway, apparently one spends $21K a month of money they didn't earn on a vehicle, the insurance and gas for the vehicle, eating out, spoiling your kids. cell phones, cable, and stupid stuff. Oh, and a little of that goes to support the golden goose who is getting milked (yes, I know I'm mixing my farm animals)  for all this.
So let's look at a little spending. On September 3rd $6995 was taken out of the Pershing account that was, WAS, providing a little under $600 a month of income. Taking money out lessened this income. On September 4th, there is a $212.47 charge from T-Mobile, for a phone Carol, the person, the retiree funding this lifestyle, DID NOT USE! Hopefully, Carol got something out of the Comcast Cable.

So on the 10th we're paying for the car Carol DOES NOT DRIVE!! On the 10th Carol is paying Mercury Casualty the insurance and GMF Lease, for the vehicle.

There is another T-Mobile charge on the 10th. For a phone Carol didn't use, she was paying a lot.

There was something that caught my eye. On the 12th there is a $310.95 charge from Santander Consumer USA. Curious me looked it up and it is apparently some auto financing company. What the Funk? Wasn't she paying for one vehicle already?
There are more questionable purchases. On the 13th, Carol is paying for ciggys or pot, she does not smoke, from Up In Smoke shop. Sometime that Fall or Winter, Sonya admitted to her brother that she was smoking weed. I don't remember the excuse, it doesn't matter. It was lame. There is also a charge from The Starving Musician. They rent school band instruments. Carol does not play an instrument. Maybe this was for the grandkids.
There is more shopping and I'm just going to skip through

Lot's of 7-11 purchases.

Still lotta 7-11.

Maybe the deposit of $100K on September 23rd made the bank suspicious. This required reducing the Pershing retirement fund further.

Before the conclusion I'll note check #2530 for $3850. When Sonya used Carol's money for getting the house on Calle de Lucia, she had to pay in advance, I'm guessing because Sonya's credit was so low it was in it's own level of Dante's Inferno. Anyway, this check is the monthly rent. So we'll keep an eye on that monthly charge.

In conclusion, this was the bank statement I used to illustrate how Sonya abused their mother to Mike, my husband. I went line by line for all 7 pages of purchases. Mike does not have a head for these sort of things, so simply telling him wasn't getting through. I had to go line by line, so he'd know the stupid, wasteful spending she was engaging in. Just being told is not enough.

August 2015

This is getting very repetitive but 2016 will show in a better way how this was a theft and destruction of a woman's retirement nest egg. So I must show not only the period before Sonya Henry of San Jose got her hands on her momma's money, but after as well. Previously I quoted the Santa Clara County Court Investigator's report to give a 3rd party opinion (not just mine). From that report"According to the petition,a bank made a report to Adult Protective Services (APS) with concerns that Carole’s daughter, Sonya Henry (“Sonya”),had taken approximately $100K out of Carole’s retirement accounts and co-mingled the money with her personal bank account. APS had concerns that some of the money had been spent in ways that did not benefit Carole". Below is August 2015.

I guess you can you can double click on the images for a better view but this is from the 1st and 2nd pages of the August 2015 bank statement. She's still leasing an SUV Carole can't drive and paying to insure it. And apparently she is not getting driven to her doctor's appointments as 20 were missed in the time Sonya was "caring" for her mother.

There is a purchase on August 15, 2015 of $194.60 for a plane ticket for American Airlines. Carole was in poor health so I doubt she was the one flying. Later there is a stay in a hotel around about August 17th for 70.77. I am guessing, this was a ticket for Carol's college aged grandson, Kay. Once again, Sonya was using her mother's money to support the kids she and her baby-daddy were supposed to support.
So this month she spent a lot but remember there was a lot of shifting money between accounts, as I described in a previous post.
